Department of Information Science & Library Management, University of Rajshahi offers one year duration diploma course on Library science for January to December 2019 (Own Cost).
- Programme Name: This is a one year course to the Diploma in Information Science & Library Management.
- Objective: To impart elementary Knowledge to LIS professionals and students about different aspects of Libraries, information institutions and Library services so as to prepare them for the jobs of semi- professional nature in all types of libraries.
In this course you will learn,
- Cataloguing (According to AACR-2),
- Classifications (Accouding to DDC-23 ed., UDC, LC),
- Information Management,
- Knowlodge Management,
- How to work with a library and information institutions.
- How to manege books and information resources on your library.
- Basic computer knowledge, etc.
3. Duration of the Course: The duration of the course for Diploma in Library Science is one year (January-2019 to December-2019).
4. Eligibility Conditions:
- Applicant must complete B.A/B.S.C/B.S.S/B.Com (Pass) from any affiliate college under National university or Completed Honours from National University.
5. Application Fees: 1000 Taka.
6. Application Date: 03-November-2018 to 02-December-2018
7. Last Date of Application: 02-December-2018
8. Course Fee: 50,000 taka

Thank You Mr Shofikuli Islam for your Interest. Currently there is no option to get admission on Diploma course at Department of Information Science & Library Management, University. Last admission was over at December 2016. But new admission will be open at March-2017 for July 2017-July 2017 session. Stay with us and keep inform.

Sir, I am a HSC pass. How can i Admission in Diplom in Library Science. I have seen a cercular in a college there“ Library Assistant” in HSC pass.
Sorry… You are not qualified for diploma course. Because it is a professional post graduate diploma course and admission minimum requirement is at least you have to complete degree pass course or honours.
